JAPAN, MID-TO-LATE EDO PERIOD

A coherent Maeda clan armour combining a russet-iron Saotome kabuto and cuirass with richly gilded kiritsuke-kozane, closely laced in kebiki-odoshi. The repeated clan mon and carved shishi forecrest give the ensemble a commanding identity.
