A rare set of three original hand-painted
kakemono scrolls dating from Japan’s late Edo to early Meiji period. Each scroll presents a striking samurai theme — from the noble portrait of a daimyo, to an armored warrior in classic
yoroi, to a haunting battlefield scene with a skull crowned by a
menpō mask. Traditionally displayed in the
tokonoma alcoves of samurai residences, these works carry both historic and artistic value. Offered together as a complete set to preserve their story and ensure they remain united.
